Role of ICT for Social Change
Role of ICT for Social Change
(REFLECTION)
ICT is power. The role of ICT for social change is that it acts
like a string that connects people. This also helps an advocate to encourage
and gain more support even from different parts of the globe.
The ICT is really important because without it social change will
not be possible.
ICT can be used for social change as it can help unite, inform, and
encourage people. It gives a chance for people from around the world to
communicate, leading to the success of various advocacies and social movement.
ICT gives an opportunity for people to be aware of problems in the society and offers
them the opportunity to participate and be part of this social change.
If I were to put up an ICT project I want it to take place on Facebook
because it is a social media platform that is very common to us millennial and
it has great number of users. In that case I think having a project in that
platform is an advantage, and helpful. Another thing, it is something that I
use every day that’s why I am comfortable using it.
The content will be about my advocacy to reuse and recycle plastic
bottles. As a fan of do it yourself project or popularly known as the DIY. I
want to combine may advocacy and my passion to put up a great campaign that can
improve the health of our environment in the school and of the planet and would
also be a great way to save money and most specially to minimize environmental
impact of plastic bottles. In my website I will show some DIY projects that are
very easy to do.
